Whether exotic or classical, bejewelled clothing is most certainly going to be a fashion trend for 2009.

Who designed it

Zac Posen embraced the exotic with Egyptian-themed jewel details, while Alberta Ferretti mixed lavish jewels with feminine fringing. It was Alexander McQueen, however, that produced the most breathtaking variations on this trend, from his bejewelled shoes to a neck-to-toe jewel encrusted catsuit.

How to wear it
