Certainly you need not to be in your tuxedo when going to work but you certainly have to dress formally. A business or corporate wardrobe usually comprises of normal suits and neck ties. Professional attire is meant to give you that free room to be creative and bring out your own style and make your own professional statements at work. Try not to look at the colours that people wear at your work place, think of your own unique style and use your own colours. Do not be fooled by the celebrities who tend to put on sneakers with the black suits. This dressing is certainly awkward and certainly makes the wrong statement for you, most people will just see that you do not take your work seriously.
